1                    Are You Shedding the tears of blood,
In remembrance of the Neighbors in Du_Salam?

2                    Or because of the Wind that blows from Khadima;
Or the Lightning that brightens up the  night at Edham?

3                    What affects Your Eyes?
It Shed tears profusely when told to stop;
And to your Heart..?
It too gets nervous; When told "It is enough".

4                    Can the Love be hidden;
Amidst the burning heart and watery eyes?
Does the Lover think So ?

5                    You wouldn’t have shed tears at the debris of her house
But for your Love.
And You wouldn’t have kept awake;
But for 'Ban' and 'Alam' !

6                    How can You deny Love
Since Tears and Illness testified against You?.

7                    Is the Scars of Illness and distress on Your Cheek
Left by sadness?
That resembles Roses of Yellow and Red.

8                    He Whom I Love
Keeps me awake at night;
And Love shall forbear pleasures.

9                    Sorry! You Wouldn’t have blamed me
In the name of Love;
Had You acted fairly.

10               You Know me well and my secret;
That can not be hidden from gossip lovers
And my illness can not be cured too.

11               You had been sincere in your advice
But I didn’t heed you
As Lover is always deaf to detractors.

12               I mistook even the Gray Hair
Though it is far cry.

13               My soul, abettor of evil, was heedless to gray Hair  and Senility
Because of my ignorance.

14               My soul was not polite to the Guest who dwelt in my head unashamedly;

15               Had I known it before
I would have made attempt to keep my secret under Colors.

16               Who is there to rein in my soul from going astray..?
Like a horse is harnessed.

17               Don’t be desirous that sins can destroy greediness;
Food shall only inflame the hunger of a glutton.

18               The body is like a baby;
It shall grow on breast feeding unless stopped,
But it could be stopped if tried.

19               Restrain its desires, If given leeway;
It will either kill or defame you.

20               Beware of straying even in good deeds;
If it tastes sweeter, further grazing be stopped.

21               The body made man feel the killing-taste sweeter
Even though it was a smiling assassin.

22               Be wary of perils of hunger and indigestion
And former causes more damage.

23               Clear your eyes of sins with tears
And also keep the shield of repentance.

24               Turn away from body and Evil
Be disobedient to them
Even though they are sincere in their advice.

25               Never obey them even though they turn plaintiff and judge
As you are well aware of their trickery.

26               I ask forgiveness of Allah

For the words not matched by deeds
It is like attributing paternity to impotent.

27               Is there any meaning
If I exhort you to do good and pursue straight path
And I contradict myself ?

28               I haven’t stuffed my luggage
With good deeds before death
Except with the obligatory Namaz and Fast.

29               I hadn’t done justice to him
Who had swelling in the leg
By making midnight lively.
